OUR WINE CELLAR IN LINDOBELGASSE
Our traditional wine cellar, which has been an integral part of our family for over a century, is located in the middle of the idyllic Lindobelgasse in Rohrendorf near Krems. Here we dedicate ourselves with dedication and passion to the cultivation and production of wines that reflect the entire range of regional diversity: Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, and of course Zweigelt.
In our cellar, diversity comes first. Each grape variety brings its own character - from the crisp freshness of Grüner Veltliner to the elegant complexity of Riesling to the aromatic nuances of Gelber Muskateller and the velvety depth of Zweigelt. Our goal is to create wines that capture the unique landscape and terroir of our homeland and give each glass a distinctive character.
Our wines are an invitation to discover the diversity and quality that Rohrendorf has to offer. Whether for special occasions or everyday enjoyment – every wine lover will find their favorite with us.
FROM THE VINE TO THE GLASS
Our wine cellar is not only aimed at Wewine lovers at home, but also supplies wine shops, wholesalers and top restaurants in Austria and beyond in countries such as Germany and the USA, where real wine quality is valued. Our wide range of wine creations has already convinced numerous wine lovers both in Austria and internationally.

We have made these pithy words from Lenz Moser, a renowned wine pioneer from Rohrendorf, our mission statement. They reflect our commitment to honoring the connection to the origin and the unadulterated authenticity with every drop of wine.
Franz Mittelbach
Our winery manager Franz runs the family winery with great dedication in the third generation and is responsible for all areas, from the vineyard to sales.
With his friendly manner, he ensures that the high quality of our wines is guaranteed every day.
Johann Mittelbach
Hans, our senior winery boss, still works at the winery every day with full commitment. Over 50 years ago, in difficult times and at just 18 years old, he took over the business from his late father. Since then, he has built the winery with a lot of hard work and passion into one of the largest and most well-known in the region .
Who is behind our family tradition?
Annemarie Mittelbach
Annemarie, our senior boss, is the heart of the Mittelbach winery. For over 50 years, she and her husband Hans have built up the business and shaped it with great dedication. Even today, she is fully committed to it - as an unrivalled cook and still in the farm sales.
Philipp Mittelbach
Philipp is the "Next Gen" at the Mittelbach winery and brings a breath of fresh air to the family business. Despite his ongoing studies, he is already a strong support and is setting trends with his new ideas, which are intended to create awareness of current and future developments in the wine industry.
Ulrike Mittelbach
Ulrike, the sister of our winery manager Franz, is an indispensable support for the winery. Despite her job in a bank, she spares no effort to be on hand during the week in the evenings or at weekends and to support the winery in every way possible.
