2023 vintage

The 2023 harvest at the Mittelbach winery began in mid-September and was characterized by ideal weather conditions that enabled us to harvest high-yielding grapes of exceptional quality. The alternation between sunny days and cool nights gave the grapes the necessary freshness and balance, which is particularly evident in the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. These varieties were able to develop their variety of aromas and characteristic acidity particularly well under the perfect conditions.

Now our focus is on the work in the cellar, where we develop the wines with great sensitivity. The first steps have been taken and the wines are beginning to develop their typical characteristics. In the coming weeks, we will closely monitor how the 2023 vintage develops in order to get the best out of the grapes. Every vintage tells its own story, and this one promises to be a particularly elegant and complex one. We can't wait to share the results with you and add the 2023 vintage to our range.
